After a damp start the weather picked up and the sun came out occasionally. The start coincided with repairs to the lane so it was a hive of activity for the morning and a good opportunity to talk to some of the villagers who wanted to know what we are about.
A good start was made on our beautiful fence. It’ll outlive us!

Another good turnout with 13 of us. And the weather has been kind to us….so far!!
We arrived to find the bracken had all been cleared for us by the landowner who got very enthusiastic with his mower. A lovely big area for our fruit bushes is now ready for us to ‘bracken bash’ the minute it pokes its head up!

Another amazingly productive workday at Cilcain.  Only six of us there but what a lot you can do!
We cleared the top growth from the spud bed, the first terrace and a good proportion of inside the proposed fenced area. It’s really starting to look like a proper growing area rather than a sea of bracken.
